City of Elroy
The City of Elroy, established in 1885, is the center of two state bike/snowmobile trails (the 400 State Trail and the Elroy-Sparta State Trail) and a Juneau County trail (Omaha Trail) all centered at the Elroy Commons, a welcoming area built at the old railroad terminal. In addition to the Commons, nearby Schultze Park has camping, a swimming pool, tennis courts, volleyball courts, baseball/softball field and pulling track, as well as a canoe launch. Speaking of canoes, the City has spent the last three years cleaning out the Baraboo River from Elroy to Union Center to open it up for canoeing. Elroy invites visitors to come and enjoy all the things that they enjoy!
